Description
Jasmine Rice is a mild aromatic rice, newly grown and developed in Vietnam. Jasmine Rice is grown in many areas of the Mekong Delta. Vietnamese Jasmine Rice is exported to China and other African countries. Jasmine Rice is a high-quality rice variety researched and selected by the Vietnam Seed Corporation (Vinaseed) and is the main rice variety in the granary of the Mekong Delta as well as the South Central Coast and Central Highlands.
Jasmine Rice can grow 3 crops a year: Winter – Spring, Summer – Autumn, Autumn – Winter. This variety has a relatively short growth period, gives full yields and meets export standards. Jasmine Rice has a characteristic mild aroma, shiny seeds, no white color, low amylose content of 16.29% (< 20%). When cooked for sticky rice, sweet taste, drained, especially Jasmine Rice when left to the end of the crop still gives sticky and delicious rice.
